Hey guys. I'm new here and pretty sad that this community isn't too lively. :( I've been trying to find a deco~clay sweets community *not deco-den* with no luck except for this one.
But anyways, I have a question that i've been trying to figure out for the longest time, but people don't like to share their "secrets" *even though this is something that seems like EVERYONE is doing....*

Where can I find the cupcake cups that look like this:

~i hope it's okay that i posted that ~ i found her on this community but she hasn't posted in a while... but yeah, a link to somewhere i can buy them or a mold of them would be fantastic. <3

Thanks much.
and for fun there are some macaroon earrings / necklaces that I made a while ago: ccroyale.livejournal.com They're under the section "Izzy" :)

Hey everyone, it's time for a dumb question from a beginner!!

I have 3 of those Mousse-chan paper clay kits, but I'm somewhat unsure how to use them. I know I need to put some sort of mold release or veggie oil in the molds before hand, but what then? Do they just dry with exposure to air? Does the oil interfere with the drying process at all?

Sorry for bothering you all, but I really want to make my own sweets but I can't bring myself to just dive in a start trying things without a little more prior knowledge lol.

Thanks for your time~!!

i made a bunch of jewelry to sell, but so far, what i've added to my etsy shop is not really doing well.  i'm wondering if this is simply because sweets jewelry isn't as popular anymore (and general economic suckage) or if there's something i can do to improve my stuff.  so i am posting to ask for concrit on what i've made so far (most of which is not yet on etsy).

the photos i'm sharing are just quick shots, so apologies for any blurriness or whatever.  but hopefully they are clear enough for you to judge.  i have macarons, cookies, and a few of those tart shell things that everyone and their mother makes.  mostly rings, although i have some pendants that i would finish into necklaces.  most of the parts are purchased (i discovered that molding clay is my least favorite part of the process) and i'm using japanese deco whip (the non-toxic stuff) instead of caulk.

so, concrit, comments, suggestions appreciated, please :)

I am attempting to to make chocolate syrup drip on my container like this:

But when I mix the brown oil paint with the Bakable transfer color medium, the mixture just runs everywhere and turns into a mess. HELP!

May be a silly question, but how do you attach diamante/rhinestones to your clay (not cream)? Is it possible to press them in before baking (Sculpey/Fimo), or do you just add them with glue and varnish over?

Thank you in advance! ♥

Hey there, I want to make some of my own sweets jewellery but I'm not too sure which would be the best clay to use. So, what type/brand of clay would you recommend for quality and ease of use, or is there not much difference between the various makes?

So apparently alot of caulk is really quite toxic. even though its less toxic when dryied its still too toxic for me to use. any one use non toxic brands of caulk that work well for sweets?
